Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about what this is, who it's for, and how your data is handled.

What is this, in one line?

Upload a policy's declarations page, review the details it pulls out, and file it into HawkSoft — instead of manually keying every field. See How it works.

Who is it for?

Independent agency staff who use HawkSoft and are tired of hand-keying policies that don't come in through IVANS / carrier downloads.

Which policies should I use it for?

Anything that doesn't auto-download: new business, endorsements, non-download carriers, surplus lines, brokered business. If it already downloads cleanly into HawkSoft, you don't need this.

Do I need anything besides my HawkSoft login?

No. You sign in with your normal HawkSoft agency ID, username, and password — nothing new to install or configure.

Is my HawkSoft password stored?

No. Your password is used once at sign-in to connect to HawkSoft and is never stored. Only a short-lived access token is kept during your session (about an hour).

Does it write to HawkSoft on its own?

Never automatically. It fills in a review screen; you check every field and click to save. Nothing is written to HawkSoft until you approve it.

What if the AI reads something wrong?

You catch and fix it on the review screen before saving. You're always the final check — treat it like a smart first draft, not gospel.

What happens to the PDF I upload?

After the policy is filed, the declarations page is attached to the client's record in HawkSoft, and the working copy on our side is deleted. Unfinished uploads are purged automatically after a few days.

Will it create duplicate clients?

You match the upload to the existing client before saving, so it attaches to the right record instead of creating a duplicate.

What lines of business does it handle?

Personal and commercial — home, auto, and commercial policies, with the coverages, vehicles/drivers, property details, and interests that go with them.

Is my data secure and separated from other agencies?

Yes. Everything runs over HTTPS, each agency's data is isolated, storage is encrypted at rest, and your password is never stored. See our Privacy Policy.

Does my document get sent to an AI?

Yes — to read the declarations page, its contents are processed by a third-party AI (Anthropic's Claude). Details are in the Privacy Policy.

What does it cost?

It's free during the beta.
